New Record- New Life

Times have been very interesting for me as of late. This new album is really pushing me to explore myself, and dig into my thoughts much deeper. What I mean is that so many of us do the normal day to day tasks without even thinking about their significance. I feel that I, as a musician fall into that as well. I think that we’re all better off if we truly explore the motives that drive us. Whether it be spirituality, respect of our loved ones, or just simply self satisfaction of knowing you set a goal and achieved it, we all have certain reasons why we do what we do.

My sister just had a new baby boy 2 weeks ago! His name is Owen, and he is their first child, and I am so excited and happy for them. They are going to be such great parents. I have never seen my sister and her husband Scott so happy. It is just absolutely beautiful.

That’s what got me thinking, what is driving me? What is driving this next record?  Why do I feel such an emotional connectivity to it? The fact is, I have no idea, but what I can tell you is that the songs and writing music mean so much more to me now, than they ever did. It’s almost as if they are a truth about me, when everything else is a lie. Not saying that I am a liar, but I feel that everyone lies to themselves in one way or another. Whether it is saying that something doesn’t bother you, when you know it does. Or, by flat out making yourself believe something that just isn’t true…Truth…truth is what I am looking for. I’m not looking for a cure all, end all. I just want truth, from myself, and from my peers….The new record has brought a frank honesty to my soul. I just can’t wait for you all to hear it. See ya soon.
